From April 24 to July 21, 2024, the DRAC Île-de-France and the Mobilier national offer a unique look at the decorations of Notre-Dame de Paris.
An exhibition paying homage to artistic and catering professions
The restoration of these great mays and other painted works, French and Italian, preserved in the building on the eve of the fire and restoration, was entrusted by the DRAC Île-de-France entrusted to three groups of heritage restorers , with the support of the Center for Research and Restoration of French Museums. The thirteen restored mays are presented in an order which evokes their original hanging in the nave of the cathedral. Sketches and drawings are also presented, accompanied by texts, multimedia and explanations which help to understand the specific richness of each work and the exceptional know-how of the heritage restorers.
