Painting in Parisian churches in the 19th century – Second day

From Saint-Germain-des-Prés to Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, from Saint-Eustache to Saint-Bernard de la Chapelle, the churches of the City of Paris are decorated with murals which make up an exceptional ensemble, characterized by its aesthetic richness and by the diversity and experimental nature of the techniques implemented.

These study days aim to promote the research carried out as part of the recent restoration projects to which this heritage has been the subject, renewing the outlook on the history of the great religious decoration in the 19th century.
