On the occasion of the presence of the European Confederation of Conservator-Restorers' Organizations (ECCO) in Athens, we are pleased to announce the 1st European one-day conference on the protection of the Conservation-Restoration (CR) profession entitled “Ensuring high quality in safeguarding Cultural Heritage – The vital importance of protecting the title and regulating the profession of Conservation-Restoration in Europe”. The conference is organized by the Association of Conservators-Restorers of Antiquities and Works of Art – Greece (ACAWA-GR) with the participation of the Directorate of Conservation Restoration of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture & Sports and ECCO.
The aim is to present the legal framework in different European countries, which are also members of ECCO, for the protection of the title and the regulation of the CR profession. The main goal of the conference is to present different existing legislations and regulations at national level in order to identify the minimum requirements for the protection of the title and the profession at European level. Moreover, emphasis will be placed on identifying potential areas of improvement.

The conference is open and free of charge and will have live-streaming to ensure a higher reach-out across Europe.

. μών Συντηρητών (ECCO) στην Αθήνα, σας ανακοινώνουμε με χαρά το 1ο Ευρωπαϊκο Συνέδριο για την προστασία του επαγέλματος της Συ ντήρησης, με τίτλο “Διασφάλιση υψηλής ποιότητας για τη διατηρηση της Πολιτιστικής Κλ ηρονομιάς – Η ζωτική σημασία της προστασίας του τίτλου και της κατοχ ύρωσης του επαγγέλματος Συντήρησης στην Ευρώπη'. Το συνέδριο διοργανώνεται από τον ΣΣΑΕΤΤΕ με τη συμμετοχή της Διε και Νεωτέρων Μνημείων (ΔΣΑΝΜ) του ΥΠΠΟΑ κ αι της ECCO
