In 1982, ICOMOS established April 18 as the International Day for Monuments and Sites (IMMS), followed by adoption by UNESCO at its 22nd General Conference. Each year, on this occasion, ICOMOS proposes a theme for the activities to be organized by its members, its partners and all those who wish to join in the celebration of this day.
This year, the theme is: HERITAGE IN TRANSFORMATION.
